What you’ll do

See World Vision’s Life Saving Work

World Vision believes that everyone deserves clean water.  It’s a tragedy that nearly 1000 children die every day from the lack of clean water and poor sanitation and hygiene. In response, World Vision now provides more clean water than any other nongovernmental organization and reaches one new person every 30 seconds. World Vision and partners have committed to scale-up this effort to reach one new person with clean water every 10 seconds by 2020 and then reach everyone everywhere they work with clean water by 2030.

Elephant and Mt. Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park, Kenya

Ambroseli National Park Safari

Ambroseli National Park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet Maasai and visit a Maasai village. The park also offers spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

Amboseli offers some of the best opportunities to see African wildlife because the vegetation is sparse due to the long dry months. Amboseli National Park is home to many species, including the African elephant, cape buffalo, impala, Masai lion, Tanzanian cheetah, spotted hyena, Masai giraffe, plains zebra and blue wildebeest among other African animals. There is also a host of Kenyan birds, both large and small.

Experience Maasai Culture

The Maasai are a group of semi-nomadic people living in Kenya and Tanzania.  They are among the best known African populations due to their distinctive dress and customs, including their relationship with their livestock.  World Vision is working with Maasai communities to being clean water and improved education, and health care.
